we find daily joy in our anonymous affairs with selective knowledge…

we find daily joy in our anonymous affairs with selective knowledge and false repairs; absorbed in every moment, merely symbolized mechanics and rearranged emotion.  stand up.  stand up on your chair—or your desk or your bed.  touch your ceiling.  feel the ceiling feeling your hand.  feel the air that deflects from your roof.  feel the empty space that continues straight up and away from this atmosphere.  you’re small by your very own measurements.  you’ve just measured your own lack of measure.  that empty space will become empty time, just as it was before you found your breath; your ‘hope’.  who are you?  how many hours have you spent diverting your attention away from that empty space; away from that empty time, and condensing all of your mental efforts into the mere perception of prefabricated pixels and glaring screens?  you perceive.  you perceive.  you perceive.  you are numb.  what have you created today?  what have you learned today?  what have you gained today?  who are you?  don’t hunch your shoulders and feign escape from those omniscient forces that govern your very existence.  pick your head up, open your mouth up wide, and consume those forces raw.  stop marveling over your dreams and write them down.  stop staring into screens.  stop fantasizing into others’ fortunes and do something for yourself.  do something to yourself.  be somebody.  and if you contain the capacity for the overwhelming notion of your ultimate insignificance, then you must also contain the consciousness that is necessary to manipulate your opportunities within this minute fragment of life.  it’s yours.  you know it’s yours and you know everything that it is; not only everything that it is not.  get your head out of your ass and be somebody.
